Dale Fisher, Treasurer
Dale Fisher is Treasurer of the BTW Board of Directors and has been a member since 2015. Mr. Fisher moved to Phoenix from Massachusetts in 1995 where he had been a senior manager in the high tech world. He graduated from MIT with an MS in Electrical Engineering. His last job in Massachusetts was as Director of Worldwide Customer Support at Thinking Machines Corporation, an innovator in the field of massively parallel computing. He and his wife raised their family of three children in Arlington, Massachusetts. Mr. Fisher is especially proud of his roll in leading the effort to rebuild the First Parish UU Church of Arlington after a devastating fire in 1975.
After settling in Arizona he and his wife Lois owned a preschool and childcare facility in Mesa for fifteen years. The school was highly regarded and worked closely with First Things First, Southwest Human Development, and other agencies to continuously improve the quality of their services. They served a diverse customer base and especially welcomed lower income and single parent families.
Mr. Fisher was a member of and active participant in the Arizona Childcare Association. He was selected to serve on the board of the Southeast Maricopa Regional Council of First Things First in 2009, their first year of council operation. He participated with the council in selecting organizations to be recipients of FTF grants and in monitoring their performance.
Mr. Fisher joined the BTW board with the goal of sharing his experiences in management, technology, child development and family support to further the mission of BTW.
